Bungalow 8 - London
Bungalow 8 was a high end nightclub which Amy Sacco brought from New York to the St. Martin’s Lane Hotel, London. The Club exclusively catered for 25 - 35 age group “A list’ celebrities and was by invitation only. All details were closely guarded at all times by the client team. The detail of the bar and the nightclub was treated with extreme sensitivity as all material, layouts and designs had to be agreed with Westminster council building control, environmental health and stringent Section 50 requirements.
Built over 3 storeys underground, to form the new nightclub involved significant structural, air conditioning and ventilation alteration, a very complex means of escape provisions and from design sign-off the client required the Club to be opened within 9 weeks.
We were brought on board to coordinate the entire interior design including the coordination of all aspects of the build and interior with the client, Morgan's Hotel Group between London and New York.
We coordinated the entire operation of the bar and hotel restaurants catering for patrons using the premises and all back and front of house operation and facilities for all staff. This included safe provisions for all fire and life safety, coordination of all specialist sound, lighting and bar and security: special provision for all staff, including lockers and changing rooms and special attention drawn to WC provisions for disabled access due to being 3 storeys underground.
Security was a key aspect due to the celebrities that would be using the premises during the night hours and all detail had to be coordinated between London and New York.
The club successfully opened on time and in budget to great acclaim.
