Founded Studio - Covid 19 Update
We are all in this together!
We live and work in London and are increasingly aware of the problems we are all about to face. Our primary concern is the health of our staff and their families, we have therefore established work protocols to enable us to continue working with the minimum of disruption to keep our staff safe and to enable our projects to continue uninterrupted during this difficult period. Many staff are working from home and thanks to professional technology we are able to work and communicate effectively. Telephone calls are in many cases diverted to key staff therefore we shall be able to keep in direct contact with everyone.
We are very fortunate that we can continue our work remotely, but we are all in this together and it is together that we will survive and hopefully emerge stronger and safer.
We began life as an architectural practice committed to exceptional design. Over time we found that there was a disconnect between the project design aspirations and the construction process, a process that was adversarial, profit driven in which design quality was often a victim of this disconnect.
In 2010 we decided to change this dynamic and put design quality at the heart of the process, by building our own projects using Construction Management, a process, that with our architectural perspective, puts design quality at the centre, creates a harmonious collaborative team with the added benefit of driving project costs down. In 2012 we created Founded Studio as a stand alone company providing construction management and allied services for all clients and architectural teams.

Here at Founded Studio we are not afraid to challenge conventions, and we constantly question the current status quo of building in the UK. We see the current construction industry as completely fragmented with too many conflicts with the major failures and disconnect between the designer and the construction team on site. Our Agency provides a wealth of knowledge and expertise from start to finish by bringing together the brightest and best candidates from the design world and construction world at the very start of the process to build you the best, more cost effectively.

We are currently building a 25,000 square foot office space and mixed use building in Brixton. The build is comprised of a concrete basement substructure with a 5 storey CLT superstructure and cavity wall brickwork cladding. Founded Studio has a multifaceted role in the management of the project and offers the client services, from RIBA stage 3-5, to ensure that the project is built to the highest standards without compromising the architect’s design. We are working with the client to ensure that their ideas and aspirations for the project becomes a reality.
